PATIENT REMINDERS

For home service saliva RT PCR collection, please take note of the following reminders:

BEFORE COLLECTION

1. Find a comfortable area to conduct the test safely (for at least 30 mins). Parking fee (if any) will be collected. If you are in a commercial / public / office space, please make sure you have permit from the building admin so we will not be asked to stop and leave during collection. Internet is needed by the collector, if data is weak in your area, collector might request to connect to your wifi.

2. You will receive a text / call to inform you of your schedule. Reschedule if there are problems or you're symptomatic. A no show or reschedule fee of P400 applies if it is done after 5:30pm of the day before your original schedule.

3. IMPORTANT: No mouth activity for 30 mins prior saliva collection. No brushing, drinking, eating, smoking, vaping, putting lipstick, etc. Specimen should be clear & non viscous. No discoloration, blood, food debris, phlegm or any impurities. Fill at least half of the tube (1ml). Otherwise result may be INVALID.

DURING COLLECTION

1. Bring QR / retrieval code from Red Cross, valid ID, tissue, alcohol.

2. The collector will provide a kit for you to collect your saliva.

3. Ensure that you have collected at least 1ml and there is no discoloration of the sample

RESULTS

2. Results will be emailed to you within 24 to 48 hours upon receipt of samples in the laboratory

REFUNDS

1. This product is NON-REFUNDABLE except for the following reasons: confirmed double bookings, unserved airport bookings, emergency cases and humanitarian reasons.

2. For refund requests, please email prcrefunds@redcross.org.ph or 1158-appointments@redcross.org.ph. Rebooking may be accommodated for valid reasons, according to the discretion and availability of the Philippine Red Cross. For any concerns, please call the 1158 hotline.

The turnaround time for the result will be within 24 to 48 hours upon receipt of samples in the laboratory.

Please be reminded that there might be logistical challenges that may arise. This applies to the transportation of your specimen to the molecular laboratory. and also the operational time of the lab itself
